OUR COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY: installing photovoltaic panels in our facilities.
Last May 2021 we started installing the first 350 m2 of solar panels on the roof of our manufacturing plant. Now, one year later, we are installing 114 m2 more on the roof of our offices and warehouses.
The company’s commitment to the rational use of its resources and the prevention of pollution leads us to incorporate continuous improvements in all stages of the life cycle of our products. With this objective and in this context, P. de la Oliva, S.A., with its extensive manufacturing facilities, is committed to expanding self-consumption by installing 114 m2 more of solar panels on the roof of its office and warehouse facilities, with 464 m2 of solar panels already installed. An initiative that provides an estimated power of 24 kW in addition to the previous 56 KW, which will mean a self-consumption of 55% in the factory and 61% in the offices and warehouses of the total annual production of energy consumed.
P. de la Oliva, S.A. has extensive manufacturing facilities where the products of its brand Mobboli are manufactured. Mobboli is committed to solar energy with photovoltaic panels on the flat roof of its workshop and painting facilities, followed by new installations on the rest of the roofs, starting with the flat areas such as the offices and warehouses.
The new solar panels would reduce P. de la Oliva’s annual CO2 emissions by 12,713 kg compared to an installation using non-renewable energy sources, although P. de la Oliva already has a “100% green energy certificate”, as it contracts 100% of its energy from renewable sources and works actively to reduce its carbon footprint, which is calculated annually by the organisation. In this way it actively controls this indicator that assesses the total impact that an organisation has on the climate in terms of greenhouse gas emissions, with the clear objective of minimising it.
This is just one more milestone in the commitment to environmental sustainability of this company and its brand Mobboli. With more than 30,000 m2 of own facilities in Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid) dedicated to manufacturing, painting, upholstery, assembly and warehousing, it internalises the entire production process within its organisation, with products manufactured in Spain. The initiative continues at its facilities in Castellón de la Plana in the Valencian Community, where solar panels have also been installed on the roof.
In addition to its commitment to the environment, it has its own fleet of low-emission trucks and organised routes throughout the peninsula, all of which enables it to reduce its environmental impact by saving on transport and optimising resources in national sales to the maximum. The aim is to minimise the environmental impact at each and every stage of the life cycle of its products.
