GABRIEL TEIXIDÓ (1947, Barcelona)

Born in Barcelona in 1947 and with more than thirty years in this profession, he has countless design creations and important awards, making him one of the most recognised Spanish designers in the sector.

Trained at the Escuela de Artes Aplicadas y Oficios Artísticos in Barcelona and specialising in product design, he is characterised by an almost austere design far removed from formal exhibitionism. He has won several awards, including two SIDI prizes for “La silla Bolero” and the “Columba lamp”, the 1995 Nuevo Estilo prize for “La Librería Amplia” and the 1992 Delta de Plata prize for the “Canaletas bottle rack” and the 1997 prize for the “HI-FI” lamp.
